For the longest time we have been advising the owners of missing pets that they can have their pets microchip flagged as missing, and if their details are not up to date, then they can change the details even though their pet is missing by going to: You do need to move quickly to update the details of your pet’s microchip because once they are scanned once, they may not get scanned again, however, some microchip companies will make a note if somebody calls and enquires about that particular microchip, so when you update the details they will inform you of it.
