In addition to being the former head chef and the current “chef at large” of Brasserie Les Halles in New York City’s uptown and downtown locations, the quick witted and unapologetically acerbic Mister Bourdain is the author of several books (Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly, The Nasty Bits) and at least one cook book (Anthony Bourdain’s Les Halles Cookbook). He may be best known as an Emmy nominated television host (Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown) and the fearless eater—he (in)famously an unwashed warthog rectum—recently announced plans to develop a major food market in an as-yet unannounced location with stalls that sell international street food. They all feature an in-room closet, ironing facilities and a flat-screen TV.Guests can dine at Ariane's modern restaurant, which offers international cuisine. You will love walking along the ramparts of this fortified town, or in the winding streets of the town centre, dropping down towards the port, or out to the fort, built by Vauban, along with all the fortifications making Saint-Martin a very recent addition to the UNESCO’s list of World Heritage sites. In other words, Saint-Martin is a village with a real and sometimes violent history, where everything merits a place on a picture postcard.
Ariane is a luxury hotel offering views over Pond Farm Museum, Bellewaerde Park and Yser Tower and featuring a library and a picnic area. Ariane Hotel offers 58 guestrooms appointed with a work desk, an in-room safe, complimentary Wi-Fi and a refrigerator with all the sights of Ypres within easy access. Guests can make use of complimentary toiletries, a shower and a bathtub.
Although it seems highly likely Mister Bourdain will install a spacious, all-knew and custom designed kitchen where he can practice his culinary skills, the existing kitchen located off the lower part of the living area looks dark and rather puny.
The larger of the two guest/family bedrooms nestled in behind the kitchen has a private bathroom while he other has access to a hall bathroom that is also the bathroom guests would likely make use.
Even though it has lost its place as the most densely populated village, it will always be considered the island’s capital.
You should take some time to visit this small town, or better still stay here, hopefully in one of our beautiful holiday lets, which include bourgeois mansions giving onto the lively port.
